Oracle Developer (Contract, Remote)

About the role
We are seeking an Oracle Developer for a contract, fully remote engagement. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining database code, stored procedures, and integrations using Oracle technologies.
You will work on PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and supporting data integrations with external systems, collaborating with product and engineering stakeholders to deliver reliable database solutions. This role requires clear communication and the ability to work effectively in a distributed team.
This is a contract position with remote work; duration and start date will be discussed during the hiring process.
Requirements
Proven experience developing PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, and packages in Oracle Database.
Experience with SQL query optimization and database performance tuning (execution plans, indexing, partitioning).
Experience designing and maintaining database schemas, normalization, and indexing strategies.
Experience with data integration or ETL tools (for example SQL*Loader, Oracle Data Integrator) and building reliable data pipelines.
Familiarity with version control for database code (Git) and automated deployment/CI practices for database changes.
Ability to review, debug, and test database code, including writing unit tests for PL/SQL where applicable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration with cross-functional teams.
