About the role
sudocodelab_new is hiring a Backend Developer to build and support services for a Financial Web Portal used for financial records, transactions, approvals, reporting, communications, governance workflows, and enterprise integrations. This freelance role is remote (India) and focused on Node.js/TypeScript backend development, API design, security, workflow automation, and cloud-native practices. You will design and implement RESTful and GraphQL services, onboarding and approval workflows, registry and ownership management, role-based access control, integrations with enterprise and third-party systems, notification/document management, reporting and analytics integrations, audit logging, monitoring, and scalability optimizations. The role requires collaboration with frontend developers, architects, DevOps, QA, and business analysts, and participation in deployments and production support. This position operates during a 10:00–19:00 IST shift (shift may extend) with a scheduled DSM call at 10:30AM for 1.5 hours during the implementation phase and refinement calls on Monday and Wednesday 3:00–4:00PM.
Requirements
- 7+ years backend development experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
- Strong understanding of API-first architecture and service design.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL) and familiarity with MongoDB (NoSQL).
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, SSO) and role-based access control.
- Experience designing secure enterprise applications and implementing security controls.
- Experience building workflow and approval-based systems and working with event-driven/asynchronous processing.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices; able to participate in deployments and production support activities reliably under on-call or support conditions if required by the project phase and schedule changes (shift can extend)."Understanding of reporting/analytics integrations (Power BI) and audit logging/monitoring for compliance requirements."Ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business analysts, and to troubleshoot and debug production issues.
