About the role
sudocodelab_new is seeking a hands-on Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a freelance, remote role based in India. This role focuses on practical, production-grade implementation of reliability practices and deployment automation across services. You will design and implement SLI/SLOs and error budgets, lead CI/CD and release engineering efforts, manage Kubernetes-based deployments, and build automated deployment pipelines. Strong application-level troubleshooting and incident response skills are required to identify and resolve production issues. We need an experienced practitioner with around 8 years of SRE/DevOps experience and demonstrated technical ownership—someone who can deliver and operate reliable systems end-to-end on a freelance basis from India.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or equivalent operational engineering roles
- Proven, hands-on implementation of SLI/SLOs and error budget management in production systems
- Practical experience designing, implementing, and operating CI/CD pipelines and release engineering processes
- Strong, hands-on Kubernetes experience: deployments, scaling, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience building and maintaining deployment automation and release pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to perform application-level troubleshooting and resolve production incidents
- Comfortable working remotely from India on a freelance engagement
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with engineering teams and stakeholders
